Building a distinctive brand and social presence for a new food business

Creating a brand that felt established from day one

By Loaf & Ladle was a new food business launching with a range of premium charcuterie and bakery products. As a new business entering a crowded market, they needed a brand that would immediately communicate the quality of their products and give them a recognisable identity from the beginning.

The aim was to create something that felt luxurious and considered, while still being warm, approachable and distinctive enough to stand out online.

What we did

We started by developing the brand identity, creating a strong visual direction that could be carried consistently across the business.

The branding was designed to make the products feel as good as they actually were, with a visual identity that felt premium, memorable and instantly recognisable.

From there, we carried that identity into the brand's social media marketing, with Instagram as a key channel for reaching new customers.

We focused on creating well-designed, eye-catching carousel posts that could stop people while scrolling, alongside short-form video content designed to showcase the products and bring the brand to life.

Rather than treating social media as a series of standalone posts, the focus was on building a consistent visual presence so that the brand became recognisable over time.

The result

By Loaf & Ladle launched with a cohesive brand identity and a social presence that felt established from the outset.

The visual consistency across its Instagram content created a recognisable look and feel, while the combination of carousel content and short-form video gave the brand different ways to showcase its products and connect with potential customers.

The result was a brand that looked like it had been carefully considered from day one, rather than a new business still finding its feet.
